INTERLUDE (2009 - 2010)

Interlude investigates domesticity and absence, while exploring the relationship of a place with its actuality and memory. I photographed my grandparents' house between the summer and winter that followed my grandfather's dead, while my parents were in the process of taking out the original forniture and start the restoring works. The house lay in a temporary stage of transition, a short episode between past and future. The series is an emotive documentation of the house where I grew up; it reveals the subtle complexity of these once intimate spaces.
